Frequently Asked Questions
Are your gowns authentic designer gowns? Is it safe to buy a gown online?
These are the top questions we hear from our brides. Designers have placed warnings on their websites to caution brides from buying wedding gowns online. There is a reason for that. There are a few sellers out there that sell factory reproductions of designer gowns. You can spot them in 2 ways. 1- Their prices are too low. You can save a great deal buying a dress online, but you can not buy a $2000 authentic dress for $300. 2- They do not promise that their gowns are authentic & you can not find their store listed on the actual designer websites. If you can not find their store listed do not consider ordering from them. Only authorized sellers are listed on the store finder features for each designer. We are listed as authorized sellers since we also have a walk in bridal store in Ohio.
We guarantee that all of our gowns are authentic. They will arrive brand new, with the original designer tags & labels intact. The gowns we sell are 100% authentic and have not been tried on. Please view our "authentic guarantee" page for more information.
What size should I order?
Bridal gowns are cut smaller then regular clothing sizes. Please do not order a gown in your typical dress size without consulting the size charts on this site. The dresses do have a small seam allowance to let a gown out larger. However, that allowance varies from dress to dress. It's very difficult to let a gown out. It is expected to take a gown in to make it smaller. Very few brides are lucky enough to fit into a gown off the rack. Alterations should be expected. It's best to get professionally measured by the seamstress (if possible) who will do your alterations. Custom hem orders are available on select styles & must be placed by phone. Please contact us if you have any sizing questions. We are glad to offer assistance.
What happens once I place my order with you?
We will place your order with the designer of the dress that you choose. We will then email you a confirmation number along with an estimated delivery date. We inspect every inch of your gown once it arrives to us before preparing it for shipping. Bridal gowns are protected with tissue, wrapped in a plastic garment bag & then wrapped again in a heavy, vinyl garment bag. Your gown is then shipped to you. We also send a tracking number for your shipment via email to let you know that it's on it's way.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
We are a bridal store. We do not carry inventory of dresses in our store other then our sample gowns that we do not sell. We place your order with the designers. The normal delivery time for non approved rush orders is 8-16 weeks. You should also consider the extra time you will need for alterations. We strongly suggest allowing yourself 20 weeks. However, we can occasionally accommodate rush orders. Gowns that are available for rush orders will have a rush option listed in the option display. Quick ships gowns have the delivery time listed in the product description. Designers do keep limited stock on some styles. We can check their inventory for you. Just give us a call, chat or email the style number/size/color of your dress choice. We will check inventory with the designer & let you know if we can get a dress to you quickly. We do not charge a rush fee if your style is in stock at the designer. Delivery of those in stock gowns is approximately 3 weeks.
What countries do you ship to? Are there additional fees if I order from a country other then the USA?
We ship worldwide. Please keep in mind that your shipping charges do not cover any duty, taxes or fees that you may be responsible for in your country. Please contact your local government to find out if you will be responsible for additional fees.
Do you carry everything you show online in your store?
We can not carry every gown that we feature online in our store. We try to keep one sample dress of the most popular styles from each designer. Our sample sizes range from 10-16. We have a few plus size gowns at the moment to try on. We plan to expand our plus size selection in the near future. Please let us know when you schedule your appointment if you would like us to check our stock for a particular gown.
Why are your prices so much lower then my local bridal store?
Bridal stores are allowed to adjust their own pricing. We are a very small store with low overhead costs. This allows us to keep our pricing lower then larger stores. Our sales change often & run for limited times.
Do you accept consignment dresses or sell used dresses?
No. We only sell brand new gowns purchased directly from bridal designers. We do not sell used gowns in the store or online.
